I tried American Restaurants in Brazil! 🇺🇸 🇧🇷 Who goes to Outback Steakhouse anymore?! Well, believe it or not, in the churrasco loving country of Brazil, The chain still found its unexpected success, even as its U.S. business stalled! Brazil was responsible for an astonishing 83% of Bloomin’ Brand’s(the Outback company) TOTAL international sales. In the first half of 2023, Brazilian sales surged by 61%, foot traffic rose by 42% and the average check increased by 19.2% compared with the same period in 2022. (Source, CNBC) I figured if Outback was beloved at all here.. why not try a steak lunch at Johnny rockets? Or gnocchi at Olive Garden? After all, those are menu exclusives, unavailable in the US! I’m not telling you to eat Pizza Hut over some traditional Brazilian pizza on your trip to this wonderful country BUT, I will say having requeijão stuffed crust is certainly the better alternative to string cheese… js This is the last big brand tasting episode in my trip, all the following Brazil episodes will be of excellent restaurants in Brazil that I enjoyed immensely… for the most part!
